Barrel Saunas

Barrel saunas are the classic outdoor sauna: long cedar staves shaped into a round barrel, held with metal bands and set on wooden cradles. Ours are handcrafted in Canada from Eastern White Cedar and ship free to the contiguous US. Each one comes with a matched electric or wood-burning heater package, or as the sauna only.

Electric or wood-burning heat

An electric heater must be hardwired by a licensed electrician, or the heater warranty is void. A wood-burning heater needs no electrical hookup, but it must follow local codes and required clearances.

Delivery: plan for a long crate

The Tranquility MP ships as a ready-to-assemble kit in one wooden crate, about 10 feet long and 1,444 lbs, usually on an 18-wheel truck. It's too long for liftgate delivery. Plan on a forklift with fork extensions, a pickup at the freight terminal with a trailer, a tilt-tow truck rental, or a crew unpacking it on the truck. Our yard prep guide walks you through it.

It's made to order in Ontario. The product page shows the estimated build date, and we confirm your ship date before your order is placed with the manufacturer.

How do I unload a 10-foot crate?

Liftgate delivery isn't available for crates this long. Use a forklift with fork extensions (lifting from the end of the crate), pick it up at the freight terminal with a trailer, rent a tilt-tow truck, or have helpers unpack it on the truck.

How hard is assembly?

The sauna ships as a ready-to-assemble kit, and two people are recommended. It needs a level, solid base such as a concrete pad, patio stones or a deck.

What does the warranty cover?

LeisureCraft's 5-year residential limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship (replacement parts; labor and installation not included). Heater warranties follow the heater manufacturer.
