Why a 2 person infrared sauna?
A two-person cabin is the most popular home sauna size for good reason. It fits in a corner of a bedroom, basement, or garage gym, it warms up faster than a larger cabin, and it gives one person room to sit comfortably or two people room to share. If you mostly sauna alone but want space for a partner now and then, this is the size to start with.
What to check before you buy
- Footprint and ceiling height. Measure the spot you have in mind, then leave a few inches of clearance on each side and above. Exact dimensions are on each product page.
- Power. Many compact infrared saunas run on a standard household outlet, while some need a dedicated circuit. Check the electrical spec on the product page and ask an electrician if you're unsure.
- Doorway and stairs. The sauna ships as flat panels, so it usually fits through a standard door, but confirm the largest panel size if the route has tight turns.
- Floor. A level, hard surface works best. Carpet is fine under some models, but a mat or tile is easier to keep clean.
1–2 person vs. true 2 person
A "1–2 person" sauna is sized mainly for one with room for a second. A "2 person" model gives two adults space to sit side by side. If you'll share it often, choose the larger cabin. If you want room to lie back or stretch out, look at our 3 person infrared saunas.
